Debbie's Apple Cake

1 1/2 c. Salad oil
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt or more
3 c.sliced apples
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 tsp.soda
2 c. sugar
1 c. pecans or black walnuts

Combine all ingredients, mix until consistency of cookie dough (it is real thick) Pour into 9 1/2 x 13 cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees 40 min.

Icing:
1 c. brown sugar
1/4c. milk
1 stick butter (not oleo)
Bring to a boil. Boil 2 min. set aside to cool.
Add 1 tsp. vanilla just before putting on cake
